This policy covers the Interval Timer Android app (formerly HIIT Timer) published by R-Think Pty Ltd. It is separate from the privacy policy for the rthink.co website.
The short version
Interval Timer has no accounts and collects no personal information. Your workouts, presets and history live on your device and nowhere else. The optional Pro upgrade is billed by Google Play; the app never sees your payment details.
What leaves your device
No user data. The app has no account system, no advertising, no analytics and no telemetry. It does not send workout activity, device identifiers, diagnostics or any other user data to R-Think or a third party.
The app includes Google Play's billing library so the optional Pro upgrade can be bought and restored. That library communicates with Google Play to show prices in your currency and to process a purchase you start: this is the sole reason the app requests internet access. Payment itself happens inside Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy; the app receives only whether this installation owns Pro, never your card details, name or address. The timer, your history and everything else in the app work fully offline.
Sharing a workout or the app is always an explicit action. Android hands the text you chose to share to the destination app you select; that destination's privacy policy then applies.
Purchases
Pro is optional. It is billed by Google Play as a subscription or a one-off purchase, on your Google account, under Google Play's terms. The record that this installation owns Pro is stored on the device. Refunds and subscription management happen through Google Play. R-Think operates no purchase server and holds no purchase records about you.
What stays on your device
Presets, workout history, streaks, settings, and whether this installation owns Pro. Deleting the app deletes them. The app opts out of Android's cloud backup and excludes its data from the system's device-to-device transfer, so your history is not copied to Google Drive or migrated by the OS. OEM migration tools outside Android's standard mechanism are beyond any app's control. A Pro purchase is re-grantable after a reinstall through Google Play's restore, because Google (not this app) holds the receipt.
Permissions we ask for, and why
Notifications. A running workout posts an ongoing notification so you can see the remaining time and pause or skip without unlocking. Android requires your permission before an app can post one, and the timer still runs if you decline.
Foreground service. The timer keeps counting and sounding cues with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. Android requires a foreground service for that, which is why the notification stays visible while a workout is running.
Internet. Used only by Google Play's billing components, as described above. Nothing you do in the timer is transmitted anywhere.
Children
Interval Timer is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Data requests and contact
There is no server-side account and no app-held server data to export or delete, because none is ever collected. Purchase records live with Google Play and are managed through your Google account. For questions about this policy, contact R-Think Pty Ltd at support@rthink.co.
